During the time passed since my first and last post I was horrified by the destruction of our history and culture. Also shocked by the statements made by our Venezuelan Beauty Ambasadress on her latest visit, which made me question my decision to return to my home country... but such questioning got dissolved by the first rain drops of this "evercloudy" sky and the stubborn 10 degrees.

I was suffocated by the human stupidity to the point of wanting to change planet. I left the Facebook group "Fotografos de Venezuela" (Photographers from Venezuela) and their weekly competition since I understood I am not a photographer, I am trying to learn about it (photography, that is) and I cannot stand a group whose members seem to praise each other and denigrate the less "professionals". I have had enough of discriminations and destructive criticism and I am not willing to bear any elitisms any more. I want to consider myself as gregarious (and I making efforts to become more of it) and those who are humble, admit they are not perfect and accept others imperfections, are the ones I will easily have a chat with. The remainder, may as well go somewhere else for their group mass-turbation.

However, I upload some pics to the Flickr group Yo Tambien as my humble contribution to this month theme. But, I have to admit these are old pics, so I will have to shoot newer images during this month that explain "why I love my city". Such a difficult task since it is the coldness (from people and wheater) of this place one of the reasons for my decision to leave. I will try reformulate the theme as "the things I still like about this city"... let's see what comes up.

I was surprised by Susan Boyle just seconds after I saw my own human misery unfolding in front of me: I had judged her by her look. All of which confirmed that I am a being of these times: times ruled by "how you look is who you are".

An finally, as part of my yearly strategy to survive the English weather, I performed my first quaterly "outing" to a more "human" weather: Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, where my only brother lives. The pics are from Majanicho, a fishing town: I hope to retire to a place like this someday.
